There are totally 3 mosques in the island among which 1 is for men and 2 is for women. Namely Majid-Al-Salaam, Masjid-Al-Anwaar and Masjid-Al-(******) respectively. The 2 mosques for women are relatively small compared to the mosque for men. Masjid-Al-Salaam has been completely demolished in August 2007 to build a new mosque. Since then Masjid-Al-Anwaar has been used temporarily for men to perform their prayers. It was expected to complete the new mosque within 8 months of contract but it seems it will take few more months before the people can use the eagerly awaited new mosque.
